Greetings! I’m Rebecca (she/her). I function with the belief that every part of you is integral to your story (even the parts you don’t particularly like). I am prepared and eager to be your support through the tough parts, your biggest fan through the amazing parts and, most importantly, become a part of your recovery, healing, and growth through therapy. My approach is person-centered with an understanding that everyone comes to therapy at different ages, stages, and levels of need.
I received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Michigan State University in 2019 with an additional minor in Child Welfare during my undergraduate program. I have experience working with various populations, from childhood to middle adulthood. My areas of specialty include LGBTQ+, neurodiversity, anxiety, depression, trauma, codependence, and life transitions. I spent my first few years post-graduation working in Community Mental Health (CMH), so I also understand deeply the impact of socioeconomic factors on mental health and physical wellbeing. I take an all-inclusive, strengths-based approach to therapy. Every emotion, memory, and experience has validity and deserves its chance in the sun. I am versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, and Strengths-Based Approach.
“You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”- Brene Brown
