Hi there!
My name is Rachel Bentley and I am the owner and co-founder of COR Counseling, Community Services and Clinical Supervision. I am also the owner of Next Level Private Practice, a consulting firm for Private Practice Owners.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Michigan and I graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2013.
The work that I am passionate about:
I am a queer therapist and enjoy working with the queer community. All people, couples, identities and parts are welcome.
I also enjoy working with those that are involved in the bariatric surgery process (pre and post). I had the surgery myself and understand many of the barriers and successes that can be a part of this journey.
I am passionate about the IFS (Internal Family Systems) model. IFS says that we all have parts, that none are bad and that we all have the ability to heal ourselves through the process of accessing self energy. Self energy consists of having some or all of these elements in our internal system: Courage, Creativity, Calm, Compassion, Courage, Connectedness, Clarity, Curiosity and Choice.
I offer IFS therapy to the clients that I serve and this means that we get to know your parts, find out what they need from us- and together, we create healing in your internal system. The goal is that you gain the knowledge and tools to heal yourself (over time). I offer IFS therapy to individuals and couples.
I have completed IFS Level (1) training and IFS Level (2) training in the following areas:
- IFS with children and adolescents
- IFS with eating disorders and addictive process
- IFS with couples (known as IFO or Intimacy from the Inside Out)
